Tecno struggles to curb fake products

TECNO Mobile Limited has urged its customers to buy its products from authorised dealers to avoid counterfeit products in the market.

Tecno Mobile Marketing and Sales Manager, Mr Fred Kadilana, said in Dar es Salaam at the weekend that the company has been frequently impounding fake Tecno mobile phones during inspections with police.

“We have started registering our retailers to curb the problem,” said Mr Kadilana during a ceremony to launch a new Tecno Smartphone, Phantom 5. According to Tecno Mobile Tanzania General Manager, Mr Daniel Xu, the Phantom 5 provides consumers with 4G LTE capability together with entertainment features that provide consumers an opportunity to experience more features.

“With the trend of many consumers looking for Smartphone that they can use both for work and leisure, the Phantom 5 is a perfect balance of application features, power, build, while providing the best Android experiences with the Android 5.0 and access to the latest apps,” he said.

Mr Xu said that Tecno will maintain its brand legacy by unveiling high quality devices to meet the growing needs of consumers across the region and globally. “Tecno Mobile is committed to ensuring customer satisfaction and with the launch of Phantom 5 in Tanzania, we are cordially responding to what the public desires,” he said.

Mr Xu said phantom 5 is a powerful Octa core Smartphone that offers consumers a premium design, 32GB inbuilt memory, a 3000mAh battery giving more talk time, adding that the Smartphone has 3GB RAM that makes the device faster.
